CCTV released of suspect in Adelaide butcher assault, South Australia

Police have released CCTV footage in a bid to identify the suspect from a recent break-in and assault at an Adelaide butcher.

About 11pm on Sunday 16 February, a man gained entry to a butcher's shop on Pitt Street and demanded money from the owner before assaulting him with a solid object.

The suspect then walked off towards Franklin Street.

The victim suffered head injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 40s, about 190cm tall, solid build, light-coloured shirt, dark-coloured pants and dark-coloured shoes. He was also carrying a white bag.
