CCTV released over Potts Point assault, NSW

Police have released CCTV footage after a man was assaulted outside a shop in Potts Point, NSW Police say.

About 3am on Sunday 30 July 2017, police have been told a 22-year-old man was outside a takeaway store on the corner of Bayswater Road and Kellet Street.

He was approached by two men before he was assaulted.

The man was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital suffering possible head injuries.

The two men were last seen heading towards Kellet Lane towards Ward Avenue.

Police attached to Kings Cross Local Area Command have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist with the investigation.

One man has been described as being Caucasian in appearance with brown hair and was wearing a black jacket with a red hood.

The second man has been described as having short black hair and was wearing a dark jacket, jeans and black and white shoes.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
