CCTV vision released following robbery in Armidale

Police continue their investigations into a robbery that occurred at a fast food shop in the state’s north at the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 9.50pm (Saturday 16 June 2018), a man entered a fast food restaurant in Dumaresq Street, Armidale, and approached the counter.

He threatened a staff member before stealing cash from the till and fleeing the store on a black mountain bike.

CCTV from inside the store has now been released and officers are keen to speak with a man seen in the vision who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is depicted in the vision as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in his late 20s to mid-30s, about 165cm tall, with a medium build.

The man in the vision has short dark brown hair, a large square ear-ring in his left ear and a piercing to his right eyebrow.

He is shown wearing a dark-blue jacket and light-coloured pants.

Detectives from New England Police District would like to speak with anyone who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
