Two CFA units from Nilma North and Warragul attended the scene on Nilma-Shady Creek Road.

Crews from FRV, VICSES, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police also attended the scene.

The incident involved a single large farm tractor and trailer.

CFA Commander Gavin Parker said crews arrived on scene to find the driver of the tractor had been thrown from the vehicle.

"The tractor had continued travelling after the driver was ejected through a fence into a paddock and eventually came to rest against a round hay bale," Commander Parker said.

"Personnel from all agencies worked well together on scene to ensure quick assessment and transfer of the patient into the care of Ambulance Victoria.

"This incident was a great example of all emergency services working efficiently together in a remote rural area."

The incident was declared safe just before 8am.
