Chain of Ponds death not a road fatality, South Australia

The death of a man at South Para Road, Chain of Ponds on 31 October will not be counted on the State's road toll.

Just after 10.30am on Saturday 31 October, patrols and emergency services were called to South Para Road, after a Subaru station wagon crashed into a tree.

The driver and sole occupant, an 81-year-old man from Golden Grove, sadly died at the scene.

It has been determined that his death was a result of other issues.

The number of lives lost on South Australian roads so far this year is 80, compared to 101 at the same time last year.
