Changed traffic conditions on Hunter Expressway 9 May

Lake Macquarie City Council

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions approaching multiple bridges along the Hunter Expressway starting from Monday 8 May for the cleaning and maintenance of drainage.

There will be minor disruptions to motorists from Monday 8 May until Thursday 6 July 2023 from 7pm to 5am, while the cleaning and maintenance of drainage works are undertaken on these bridges.

These works are being completed to provide a safer and cleaner motorway for motorists. To minimise impacts to motorists, the work will be staged at various locations over the month and be carried out at night, between 7pm and 5am on weekdays, weather permitting.

Traffic control, including lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
