Changed traffic conditions on Hunter Expressway

Lake Macquarie City Council

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions approaching multiple bridges along the Hunter Expressway starting from Monday 13 March for crews to clean and maintain drainage.

There will be minor disruptions to motorists from Monday 13 March until Thursday 6 April 2023 while crews carry out clean and maintenance work on these bridges. This work will help provide a safer and cleaner road for all road users.

To minimise impacts to motorists, the work will be staged at various locations over the month and be carried out at night, between 6.30pm and 5am on weekdays, weather permitting.

Traffic control, including lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
