Changes to kerbside bin collection schedule

City of Mount Gambier will roll out changes to the kerbside recycling and food organics garden organics (FOGO) bin collection schedule from Monday 3 July 2023.

General household waste bins will be collected as usual.

"On the week beginning Monday 3 July 2023 please put your recycling bin out in addition to your general waste bin for collection," City of Mount Gambier Waste Management Coordinator Jeremy Martin said.

"On the week starting Monday 10 July 2023 please put your food organics garden organics (FOGO) bin out with your general waste bin for collection. Please ensure all bins are placed on the kerb before 6:00am on your collection day."

The recycling and FOGO bin collections will then remain on a schedule of alternate weeks in addition to the weekly general waste bin collection.

There will be minor adjustments to collection days in certain areas of Mount Gambier as part of changes to the schedule.

From July, Hallmont Estate and Woodlands Grove will change from a Tuesday collection to a Wednesday collection and the Central Business District will change from a Wednesday collection to a Tuesday collection. Buronga Avenue, Starline Place and associated streets will shift from a Monday to a Tuesday collection.

"I encourage residents to take a look at the updated bin collection calendar to familiarise themselves with the changes made in their area."
