A youth has been charged in relation to a sexual assault incident in Alice Springs.
It will be alleged a 15-year-old-male unlawfully entered a property where he sexually assaulted a woman, last month.
The youth was arrested the following day in relation to a separate matter, but has now had his charge upgraded with:
- 1 x Sexual intercourse without consent.
He was further remanded in custody on 5 March and will appear before court on 19 April.
No further information in regards to this incident will be provided to protect the identity of the alleged victim in accordance with the Sexual Offences (Evidence and Procedure) Amendment Act 2020.
