Charges after three women indecently assaulted in Telopea

A man has been charged after allegedly indecently assaulting three women and damaging a bus in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

About 4.45pm today, a 37-year-old man allegedly indecently assaulted two women, aged 42 and 62, inside an elevator and in the foyer of a building on Sturt Street, Telopea.

The man then caught a bus on Sturt Street, sitting next to a 22-year-old woman.

He allegedly indecently assaulted that woman also, before he was ejected from the bus.

Once off the bus, he allegedly kicked the front of the bus and damaged the windscreen wiper.

Police were contacted and a short time later officers from Rosehill Local Area Command located him on Benaud Place, Telopea.

He was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with assault with act of indecency (x3).

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.

Inquiries are continuing and further charges are possible regarding damage to the bus.
