Kingston/Blackmans Bay Incident Charges

This afternoon detectives from Kingston CIB have formally charged a 17 year old youth in respect to the incident at Blackmans Bay, Tasmania Police say.

Detective Inspector Adrian Bodnar said, "The youth who remains in hospital has been formally charged with a number of serious crimes pursuant to the Criminal Code Act 1924."

Those crimes include:
Committing an unlawful act intended to cause bodily harm
Assaulting police
Assault &
Dangerous driving.

In addition there are also a number of summary offences including:
Evading police
Drive whilst disqualified
Motor vehicle stealing &
Common assault

Detective Inspector Bodnar said "The youth will appear in a special bedside court sitting at a time to be arranged. The youth remains in a stable condition."
