Charges - Commercial quantity of dangerous drug - Darwin

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a 23-year-old male this week in relation to the discovery of 250 MDMA pills.

The pills were discovered after members from the Drug and Organised Crime Division intercepted a parcel at a Darwin mail centre on Wednesday. With assistance from the Dog Operations Unit, the pills were located inside the parcel, Northern Territory Police say.

The male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of supplying a Schedule 1 dangerous drug (commercial quantity) and one count of possession of a Schedule 1 dangerous drug (commercial quantity).

He has been remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday 27 August 2018.
