Charges - Drink Driving - Daly River

Daly River members have charged a 36-year-old male with driving offences.

On the evening of Friday 31 August, police received reports of a vehicle driving unusually slow and weaving all over the road, Northern Territory Police say.

Police apprehended the driver approximately 20 kilometres outside of Daly River on Daly River Road. In addition to returning a breath analysis of 0.081 he was also driving unlicensed in an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

It was the second time the male was caught drink-driving that day.

The male was apprehended in the same car around 1:30 pm on Stuart Highway just outside Adelaide River. At the time he returned a breath analysis of 0.128.

He has been charged with:

  • 2 x mid-range drink driving
  • 2 x drive unlicensed
  • 2 x drive unregistered
  • 2 x drive uninsured

The male was bailed and is due to appear before the Wadeye Local Court on 13 September.
