Charges following assault in licensed premises in richmond

Police have arrested a man in relation to an assault at licensed premises in Richmond in April, Victoria Police say.

Police were initially called to a bar in Swan Street after the victim, a 25-year-old Rowville man, was approached by three males and allegedly assaulted about 12.30am on 21 April.

The victim received non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The offender, a 31-year-old Richmond man, is expected to be charged with intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury and unlawful assault.

He has been released pending summons.
