A man has been charged after allegedly running over a neighbour with his vehicle in Freshwater yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.30pm today two men, who reside within the same unit complex on Wyadra Avenue, became involved in a heated argument in the carpark.

It’s alleged the 42-year-old man got into his vehicle and drove towards the 51-year-old man causing him to fall onto the bonnet and smash the windscreen.

The 51-year-old suffered multiple fractures and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The driver was arrested at the scene and taken to Manly Hospital for mandatory testing before being taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.

He was refused bail and will appear in Manly Local Court tomorrow
