Charges Laid in Wakeley Public Order Incident: Strike Force Dribs

A man will face court tomorrow (Tuesday 23 April 2024) charged by officers investigating a public order incident at Wakeley earlier this week.

Strike Force Dribs was set up to investigate the violent incidents outside a Wakeley church on Monday 15 April 2024, following the alleged attack of a 53-year-old religious leader.

About 2.30pm today (Monday 22 April 2024), a 23-year-old man attended Fairfield Police Station where he was placed under arrest.

The St Clair man was charged with riot and attempted aggravated break and enter with intent – knowing person there.

He was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 23 April 2024).

Investigations are continuing under Strike Force Dribs.
