Charges over alleged assault and robbery of man – Kingston

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a man and three boys after a 37-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and robbed of property in the carpark of a train station at Kingston. , Queensland Police say

It is alleged around 5pm yesterday afternoon the man was involved in a verbal dispute with a group of males about behaviour when he was assaulted by four males who punched and kicked him.

During the altercation it is alleged the victim was assaulted with a stick and his computer tablet stolen.

Attempts were also allegedly made by the group to steal the man’s van but the offenders were unsuccessful.

Police later located and arrested four males nearby.

The victim sustained bruising but was not transported to hospital.

A 17-year-old Kingston man has been charged with armed robbery and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

Three Logan Central boys, two aged 16 and one aged 15 years, have been charged with armed robbery.

One of the 16-year-old boys was further charged with assault/obstruct police.
