Charges over three indecent assaults at Wyong, NSW

A man has been charged with nine offences by police investigating alleged indecent assaults at Wyong yesterday, NSW Police say.

Police have been told a 57-year-old man approached a younger man in the public toilet at Wyong Railway Station about 9.10am (Wednesday 4 April 2018).

The man allegedly exposed himself to the 19-year-old, who ran from the block and alerted police.

Police will allege the older man then approached a woman near licensed premises on the Pacific Highway, Wyong, and indecently assaulted her.

She called for help and the man ran into bushland nearby.

It will be alleged in court the man attended a car yard on Pacific Highway, Tuggerah, about 10.30am, where he exposed himself and committed an indecent act.

Police were called and officers from Police Transport Command arrested a 57-year-old man.

He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with nine offences

• Assault with act of indecency (three counts)

• Offensive behaviour (two counts)

• Malicious damage (two counts)

• Assault police and,

• Intimidate police.

After appearing in Wyong Local Court yesterday (Wednesday 4 April 2018), the man was refused bail and remanded in custody.
