Charges: Robbery with violence, Dinmore

A 19-year-old Ipswich man has been charged following investigations after a 33-year-old Collingwood Park woman was assaulted and had her car stolen in Dinmore on Friday, May 5.

Police will allege just before 10.15pm, the woman was walking towards her parked vehicle at a Brisbane Road service station when she was approached by a man who was unknown to her.

It will further be alleged the man assaulted the woman and stole her car.

The woman was transported to the Ipswich Hospital with a head injury.

Police located the burnt out vehicle abandoned along the Warrego Highway at Marburg on May 9.

On Friday May 19 officers searched a Leichhardt address and located the 19-year-old man.

He has been charged with robbery with violence, dangerous operation of a vehicle, driving unlicensed, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.

He will appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on May 22.
