Charges- Threat With Firearm - Palmerston

Police have arrested a 25-year-old male in relation to firearms offences in Malak yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:15pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports that a male was allegedly threatening a female, believed to be his ex-partner.

It is alleged the male sent multiple messages to the victim in which he threatened her with a firearm.

Police deployed to the victim's location while other units initiated a search for the alleged offender.

The 25-year-old male was located a short time later in Malak where he was arrested without incident. A firearm was seized from the location.

He has since been charged with Make a threat to kill a person and Use carriage service - Threat to kill.

He is due to face Darwin Local Court today.
