Police have charged a 23-year-old Strathpine man following a traffic crash involving an allegedly stolen vehicle at Brendale yesterday, 6 January.
Between 8pm and 9.30pm on 5 January, the man allegedly stole a white Holden Cruze from a residence on Samsonvale Road, Strathpine.
It will be alleged he drove the stolen sedan to Woorim on Bribie Island where he then allegedly stole property from a parked Mazda utility before damaging a storage cage at a unit complex around 10pm.
It will be further alleged the man drove the stolen Holden to a car park on Sandgate Road, Virginia at 6am where he left it before stealing a white Volkswagen Touareg parked outside a business.
The man allegedly drove the stolen Volkswagen dangerously through Aspley then crashed into an MG hatchback at the intersection of Linkfield Road and Scouts Crossing Road, Brendale at 12.15pm.
The MG driver, a 20-year-old woman, did not require medical treatment.
The 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene and transported to hospital with minor injuries.
He has since been charged with 13 offences including two counts each of entering premises and commit indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a vehicle while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, and one count each of wilful damage, stealing and unlicensed driving.
He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 7 January.
