A working smoke alarm saves lives.
In the lead up to Smoke Alarm Action Day on Sunday 1 June, we're encouraging you to be smart and take part by checking your life-saving devices.
The NT Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) is running a competition to encourage Territorians to check their smoke alarms, with the winner getting to ride in a fire truck.
To enter the competition, take a photo of your parents or guardians:
Checking their smoke alarm;Replacing the battery of their smoke alarm;Cleaning their smoke alarm; orPlacing old lithium batteries from their smoke alarm into disposal bins at Bunnings or Officeworks.
