Cheltenham theft and deceptions

Kingston Crime Investigation Volume Crime Unit detectives are investigating following a theft from a car in Cheltenham and subsequent deceptions.

Investigators have been told an unknown offender stole a wallet and glasses from a vehicle parked in Evergreen Circuit between 8.30pm on 10 October and 6am on 11 October.

Between 6.15am and 7.10am on 11 October, credit cards from the stolen wallet were used to make purchases from service stations and convenience stores in Carnegie, Caulfield, Elsternwick, Bentleigh and McKinnon.

Detectives have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s, with facial hair.
