Child Airlifted, Two Others Hospitalized in Colo Heights Crash

Three children have been taken to hospital after a single vehicle crash in Sydney's northwest this morning.

About 10.15am (Saturday 18 July 2026), emergency services were called to Putty Road, near Barina Drive, Colo Heights, following reports a car had crashed.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and found that a Toyota had crashed into a tree.

Three children in the car – aged four, seven and eight – were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before the four-year-old was airlifted with head injuries and two other children were taken by road for minor shoulder injuries to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.

The driver – a 36-year-old woman – and front passenger – a 41-year-old man – were assessed at the scene; however, did not require further medical treatment.

Police have commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.
