Child Exploitation Material Charges At Morayfield

A 37-year-old Morayfield man has been charged with child sex offences following an investigation into child exploitation material (CEM).

Detectives from the State Flying Squad, Argos and Petrie Child Protection Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at a Morayfield address on October 2.

Police will allege the man was found in possession of CEM and producing CEM.

During the search police seized seven mobile phones, four external hard drives, SD cards, a tablet, children's clothing and a digital camcorder.

The 37-year-old Morayfield man has been charged with 12 counts of making child exploitation material, eight counts of engaging in penile intercourse with a child under 16, 20 counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and one count each of rape, grooming a child under 16, possessing child exploitation material, using the internet to procure children under 16 and threats to distribute an intimate image.

He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 5.
