Child Found in Illawarra

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the family of a young boy found this morning in Albion Park Rail in the Illawarra, NSW Police say.

About 6.45am tomorrow, a member of the public located a child on the Princes Highway, Albion Park Rail, near Creamery Road.

The boy is described as being three to four-years-old. He has a tan complexion with dark brown curly hair and green/hazel eyes. He was found wearing a blue pyjama top with a yacht motive and a purple pyjama shorts with image of small yachts on them.

Police have not been able to communicate with the child.

Officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command are appealing for information from the public to locate the boy’s family.
