Child hit by car - Hunters Hill

A young boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Hunters Hill this morning.

Just after 8am (Wednesday 3 February 2021), emergency services were called to Blaxland Street, after reports a child had been hit by a Suzuki Jimny.

The eight-year-old boy was treated at the scene before being taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead, where he is reported to be in a stable condition.

The Suzuki driver, a 20-year-old woman, was uninjured. She was breath tested at the scene and returned a negative result.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
