Child hospitalised after near drowning, NSW

A child has been taken to hospital after a near drowning in Sydney’s north west today, NSW Police say.

About 12pm today, emergency services were called to a home on June Street, Seven Hills, after a three-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool.

CPR was performed at the scene by neighbours and continued when NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived.


The boy was taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
