Child located in Williamstown

Police are appealing for help after a young boy was located in Williamstown this evening (25 November), Victoria Police say.

The boy, who appears to be non-verbal, is believed to be about 5 years old.

He was located by passers-by at Commonwealth Reserve, Nelson Place about 5.30pm and brought in to Williamstown Police Station.

The boy was found wearing a T-shirt and nappy.

Police have made a number of enquiries but haven’t been able to locate his parents at this time.

They have released an image of the boy in the hope someone may recognise him and be able to provide information on his identity.
