Child Protection Week: Clarence Valley Hosts Colouring Contest

To recognise National Child Protection Week the Clarence Valley Council has partnered with the Clarence Valley Child & Family Network (CFN) to run a colouring competition for Clarence Valley kids.

Colouring-in entry forms can be picked up from any Clarence Valley library or downloaded from this story.

Completed artworks can be dropped into your local library or our customer service centres in Grafton or Maclean before 1 September.

Winners will be announced at the CFN Children's Spring Carnival at the Clarence River Jockey Club on 1 September.

There are prizes for each age category: 0-3 years old, 4-9, and 10+.

National Child Protection Week (NCPW) runs from 3-9 September. The 2023 theme 'every child in every community needs a fair go'captures the essence of National Child Protection Week which aims to promote a safe and supported life for every child, now and into the future.

Clarence Valley Council is a member of the Clarence Valley Child & Family Network. The network brings services together to collectively share information, promote programs and resources, collaborate on projects that encourage children, family and community participation and raise awareness and work together to support families across the Clarence Valley.

Clarence Valley Council has a Child Protection Policy and is committed to fulfilling its duty of care by endeavouring to ensure that all council staff, councillors, contractors and sub-contractors, work experience participates, volunteers, and students on work placement act in the best interest of children and take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of children across the Clarence Valley.
