Children approached in Mosman

Police are appealing for information after two girls were approached in Mosman yesterday, NSW Police say.

About noon yesterday, a nine-year-old girl and seven-year-old girl were walking on Stanton Road near the intersection of Wyargine Street when they were approached by a man in car described only as a dark coloured sedan.

The man who is not further described allegedly stopped and spoke to the girls before they walked back to their grandparents and alerted them of the incident.

The incident was later reported to the police.

Officers from Harbourside Local Area Command have commenced inquiries into the matter.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
