Children missing from Umina located

Three children missing from the Central Coast area have been located safe and well.

The children – aged 9, 8 and 5 were last seen on Lakeview Road, Umina Beach, around 11.15am on Saturday (16 July 2022).

After failing to return home, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were notified and commenced inquiries to locate them.

Following inquiries, including a public appeal and an SMS geo-targeting alert, officers attached to the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command stopped a vehicle on the Pacific Highway, south of Emerald Beach at Coffs Harbour, about 7.30 this morning (Monday 18 July 2022).

The children were located in the vehicle in the company of their father.

Inquiries are continuing.
