A chiropractor has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a patient on the state's Mid North Coast last month.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District commenced an investigation following reports a 31-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while being treated at a clinic in Port Macquarie on Tuesday 14 July 2020.
Following inquiries, a 56-year-old man was arrested at Port Macquarie Police Station about 2pm today (Wednesday 19 August 2020).
He was charged with sexual intercourse without consent.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 30 September 2020.
Investigations are continuing.
