Christmas decorations installed across Greater Bendigo

Christmas decorations have begun being installed across Greater Bendigo, with new decorations going up in Bendigo and Heathcote.

The Bendigo Visitor Centre will have two new large nutcrackers (more than two metres tall) installed in the front atrium windows.

The Heathcote town centre will receive a large new Christmas tree (with lights) which will be installed near the City's office building.

Crook St Park and the entrance to the Bendigo Botanical Gardens White Hills will both have new decorations installed.

Tourism and Major Events Manager Terry Karamaloudis said a range of new items were purchased and installed across Greater Bendigo last year.

"We had really positive feedback from community members last year about the new decorations," Mr Karamaloudis said.

"We are working hard to update and maintain our collection of decorations so that we can ensure our communities are presented well at this time of the year."

Decorations are expected to be fully installed by the end of November and will be removed in the first week of January
