It's just over a week to the most exciting event on the Bayside calendar. Bay Street, Brighton will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland on Saturday 27 July from 10am- 3pm. The majestic Snow Queen and King will tower over the crowd on stilts, blowing giant balloons from their lofty heights and welcoming all to the celebrations. Real Huskies will pull a sleigh through the street, weaving their way through the Christmas trees, bringing a touch of magic to the day. Warm yourself with roasted chestnuts, delicious popcorn or experience the icy goodness of a colourful snow cone. Children will delight in the free activities provided, including an animal farm, face painting and balloon creations. Bay Street traders will get into the Christmas spirit with their footpath stalls and Rotary Lions will be cooking up a storm with everyone's favourite sausage sizzle. Piped music will resonate throughout the street with a roving band and live statues may surprise you amongst the twinkling fairy lights.
