Christmas Is Coming To Town

Christmas magic, dazzling lights and spectacular production is coming to Tamworth at the 2025 Baiada Carols in the Park, set to take place on Saturday 13 December in Bicentennial Park.

Mark the date in your calendars for the region's biggest free Christmas event, set to kick off the festive season in style. With a night of performances, food stalls and of course a visit from the man in red himself, there'll be something for everyone.

"It's exciting that Council is able to put on this event for the community. The festive season is always such a special time for our region and this will add that extra bit of sparkle for families looking to come together and make lasting memories," Tamworth Region Mayor Russell Webb says.

As naming rights partner, Baiada Poultry is proud to help bring this signature festive celebration to life, furthering its commitment to the Tamworth region and the local community.

"Baiada has been part of the Tamworth community for generations, and as a family-owned Australian business we are passionate about creating opportunities for families to come together and celebrate," said Yash Gandhi, Head of Marketing at Baiada Poultry. "This event is not only about the community spirit that makes Tamworth special – it's also a chance to support causes close to our heart, including our local charity partners, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and RMHC Tamworth, who do incredible work for families in our region."

This year, the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree will be held at the entrance of Pioneer Parade so there is more room for spectators, more lights and more spectacle than ever before. A much-loved event by the whole community, the lighting will continue to shine in its new location.

"We always get such a good turnout to the lighting of the Christmas tree and by moving this year's event to Bicentennial Park, it will mean more room for more people to join in on the night's activities," Cr Webb says.

While in the festive spirit, it will be a chance to get in your last-minute Christmas shopping with participating local businesses staying open late, as well as market stalls setting up in Bicentennial Park where you'll find all the best gift ideas.

"If you'd like to be a food or market stall holder, please go to the Tamworth Regional Council website to apply. Spots will be limited so we encourage everyone to get in soon!" Natasha Little, Tamworth Regional Council Events Officer.

Stay up to date at the Tamworth Region 'What's On' page and most importantly find your picnic blanket, prepare your snacks and tune in your singing voices – it'll be the most wonderful time of the year!
