City Lauded for Ensuring Safe, Clean Public Spaces

Responding quickly to issues reported by the community is key to maintaining safe, clean and well-functioning public spaces across the City.

Each day, City teams respond to issues reported by residents, workers and visitors – including maintenance concerns, hazards, dumped rubbish and signage issues – coordinating inspections and on-ground works to resolve them as efficiently as possible.

Over the past year, City of Perth teams have responded to 2,848, community reports through online reporting tool Snap Send Solve – a 229 per cent increase in reports through the platform since 2023.

This represents thousands of hours of work by City staff – from the Customer Experience team that coordinates responses to crews on the ground delivering outcomes, including Rangers, Parks and Waste Services teams to name just a few.

The City's commitment to customer service has been recognised with a Snap Send Solve 'Responsive Solver' Award, which recognises organisations that respond promptly and close the loop on community reports.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds said the recognition reflected the City's commitment to the highest standards of everyday service delivery.

"When people take the time to report an issue, they want to know it will be acted on," he said.

"This recognition reflects the work our teams do every day to help keep public spaces safe, clean and well maintained.

"I also want to thank our community for taking the time to report issues. Your eyes on the ground help us respond faster and keep our city looking its best."

You can help keep our community running smoothly by reporting issues via Snap Send Solve app (available from the App Store or Google Play).
