Families with children starting three- or four-year-old kindergarten in 2027 are invited to attend the City of Casey's Kindergarten Open Afternoon on Tuesday 19 May.
All Council‑managed kindergartens across Casey will be open from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, giving parents and children the opportunity to experience high‑quality early learning in a welcoming, relaxed environment.
Mayor Cr Stefan Koomen said the open afternoon was a valuable chance for families to see firsthand how kindergarten supports children's growth and development.
"Kindergarten plays a vital role in setting children up for lifelong learning," he said.
"The open afternoon will allow families to see our play‑based programs in action, meet our passionate educators and get a real sense of what their child's kindergarten journey could look like."
Cr Koomen said Council is committed to ensuring every child has access to a strong early learning foundation.
"All council‑managed kindergartens in Casey deliver free, high‑quality funded programs for three‑ and four‑year‑old children," he said.
"We want families to feel confident, informed and excited about this important step in their child's education."
