City of Gold Coast Flood Advice – 6:30am, 16 May 2023

Significant rainfall has occurred overnight impacting the central Gold Coast with up to 150mm recorded in the past 24 hours.

Minor flash flooding is occurring at Loders Creek in Southport and the City is monitoring the situation closely.

Road closures are likely this morning and motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution. If it's flooded forget it.

At this stage, the situation is forecast to ease this morning and the sandbagging stations are not currently open.
