City Of Logan Says Dance For Us Tones And I

Mayor Jon Raven is on board to bring Tones and I to Logan

The City of Logan is answering the call from music megastar Tones and I, who has asked Australia where a one-off, all-ages concert should be held.

The Australian ARIA award-winning artist put out the call on her Facebook page, announcing she'll perform 'One big show', with tickets for just $10, and inviting communities around the country to campaign for her to visit their city or town via social media.

A social media video of Mayor Jon Raven officially inviting Tones and I to the city on Wednesday has prompted over 1800 residents to show their support for the gig, with numbers continuing to rise by the hour.

Mayor Raven said Logan is the obvious choice for the Dance Monkey singer's show, which will be held in "whatever place goes hardest".

"With a population made up of more than 230 cultures, holding the concert in Logan is practically a world tour in one place," Mayor Raven said.

"Logan is perfect for an all-ages gig as one of Australia's youngest cities, with more than 50 per cent of the population aged 34 years or younger.

"The stage is set and I've booked a a great venue for her at Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct that can host 8500 people; all she needs to do is show up and we'll roll out the red carpet."

"Tones and I's last sold-out headline tour in 2024 went to eight cities, including Brisbane and Townsville, but she has never played a gig in Logan.

"With tickets for Tones and I concerts usually ranging from $80-$200, these $10 tickets would allow fans of all ages to see her live, right here in Logan," Mayor Raven said.

"I'm calling on everyone to jump on our Facebook page, click attending to the event, and show Tones and I how much we want to see her."

Kingston Butter Factory has convenient public transport and is also one of the most accessible and inclusive venues in Queensland.

Dance Monkey broke ARIA chart records and reached number 1 in over 30 countries, while Tones and I's newest single is Gone Gone Gone.

The community can help bring Tones and I to Logan by clicking 'going' or 'interested' on Council's dedicated Facebook event page: https://lccqld.com/tones-and-i-in-logan

Tones and I is expected to announce which community has secured the concert on Sunday, January 25.
