City supports Christmas parking

City of Perth Parking (CPP) has introduced four promotional offers in an effort to support local business and retail during the upcoming festive period.

From 10 December 2018, three CPP locations will offer a discounted parking rate of $10 per day, through until 18 January 2019.

Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said the campaign has been expanded from last year.

"This year's promotion now includes the weekends, giving people more choice as to when they come into Perth," Commissioner Lumsden said.

"The six weeks of discounted parking is designed to encourage people into the city for Christmas shopping, attend festive season events, and inject spending into the local economy.

"This parking special allows the City to strategically support local business and retail."

The discounted parking offer is for Pier Street, Citiplace and Cultural Centre carparks from 6am to 9pm.

Motorists will also be able to take advantage of a shopping friendly $5 promotion on 26 December for whole-day parking from 6am to midnight, helping to stimulate business with the Boxing Day sales.

New Year's Eve can be enjoyed with a festive $10 flat rate for 36 hours at Terrace Road carpark from 6am Monday 31 December.

And in the spirit of Christmas 1,000 CPP customers will receive an early present, with free parking vouchers issued by 'CPP Christmas Angels' at random times at CPP locations during selected events.

Festive season events in the city include:

Christmas Lights Trail

Christmas Projections

Twilight Hawkers Market

Festive Flicks

Christmas Maze

Christmas Markets

Brass on the Grass

Christmas Symphony in the City

Christmas Nativity

The City at New Year's Eve
