The Monash Civic Centre will be lit up in blue tonight (Thursday 22 April) to mark the first anniversary of the Eastern Freeway tragedy that saw four Victoria Police officers killed while undertaking their duties.

Numerous landmark buildings across Melbourne will go blue in tribute to Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Senior Constable Kevin King, Constable Josh Prestney and Constable Glen Humphris.

A date for the State Memorial Service, dedicated to honouring the lives and service of these officers, has also been confirmed and will be held on National Police Remembrance Day, on 29 September 2021.
