Civilian Employee Charged in NW Metropolitan Region

A civilian employee has been charged with allegedly possessing several prohibited weapons and pieces of NSW Police Force uniform.

About 5pm on Friday 18 July 2025, officers attached to North West Metropolitan Region executed a search warrant at a home in Windsor, following an investigation into the possession of prohibited firearms.

During the search, officers located and seized two gel blasters and ammunition, a sling shot, and NSW Police Force uniform items.

Following inquiries, a 35-year-old woman – a civilian employee attached to a specialist command in North West Metropolitan Region – has since been issued a court attendance notice for possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit (two counts), possess unauthorised pistol, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and not police officer/special constable wear police uniform.

She is due to appear before Windsor Local Court on Thursday 11 September 2025.

The woman's employment status is currently under review.
