Civilian employee charged - Southern Region 20 February

A civilian employee of the NSW Police Force has been charged following an investigation into an alleged fraud.

Following an internal investigation, the 51-year-old male unsworn officer, who is attached to a command in the Southern Region, attended Wollongong Police Station yesterday (Friday 19 February 2021).

The man was charged with steal property as clerk/servant, and dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.

He is due to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 6 April 2021.

The employee's duty status is under review.
