Clarence Valley Council Takes Gold at Jacaranda Fest

There were bubbles, there were whistles, and there was laughter as Clarence Valley Council joined in the Jacaranda Festival fun on Thursday, 30 October 2025.

The Prince Street Customer Service Centre transformed into a circus big top for the morning, complete with clowns on tricycles, lions, a fearless lion tamer and plenty of dancing. Staff brought plenty of energy and laughter to the crowd gathered out the front of the Grafton Council building — keeping alive a much-loved Jacaranda Thursday tradition.

Council performs every year on Jacaranda Thursday morning, before taking the show to Market Square in the afternoon for the final performance. It's always a great time seeing Prince Street come alive with colour, music and market stalls, as the community comes together to celebrate this iconic Grafton event.

Adding to the excitement, Clarence Valley Council took out the coveted Gold Cup for their performance this year.

Well done to the many local businesses who also put on entertaining performances throughout the day, and we hope everyone enjoyed a happy and safe Jacaranda Thursday.
