As the weather warms up and locals and visitors head outside to enjoy our beaches, parks and towns, we're scaling up our most in-demand public amenity services.
What we'll do more of during peak season
Our popular clean team is back! They are on the ground seven days per week, from 6am to 8pm, picking up street litter, inspecting and cleaning amenities like park benches, barbeques and bins. If they notice a problem, they'll report it straight away for quick action.
Public toilets along the foreshore will be cleaned twice daily.
Our waste service collection will ramp up - public bins along the foreshores and in town centres will be emptied up to three times daily.
Household kerbside bin collection will also increase. Recycling bins will be emptied weekly from 22 December and return to fortnightly from 2 February next year.
