Fire protection doesn't keep business hours, and neither should access to the equipment that keeps communities safe. For too long, technicians have faced delays, downtime, and mounting costs when critical stock wasn't available outside of business hours.

FIREX has changed that reality nationwide, building a 24/7 Click & Collect network of warehouses that offer certified fire protection products at any time of day or night.

Since opening its first 24/7 warehouse in Waterloo in 2018, FIREX has expanded into Australia's largest network of fire protection products, with 20 sites nationwide. More than 50,000 technician visits have shown the demand for flexible, after-hours access in a sector where time, compliance, and reliability are non-negotiable.

"Technicians don't stop working when the doors of other suppliers close," said Ali McGovern, owner of FIREX.

"By making certified fire protection equipment available 24/7, we've removed one of the industry's biggest pain points."

Every warehouse is designed with efficiency in mind, from extinguishers and alarms to hose reels, hydrants, and emergency lighting, the essentials are always in stock. If a technician needs something outside the usual range, FIREX ensures it's waiting for them. By eliminating counter queues, traffic delays, and warehousing costs, the model saves contractors up to two hours every day, reduces annual running costs, and gives them more time back for business or family.

Sustainability is also central. Each warehouse features Swap & Go cylinders and recycling cages, enabling up to 95% of returned materials to remain in circulation and out of landfills. Circular economy principles are built into FIREX's system from the outset, ensuring that convenience and responsibility are aligned.

The process is simple and secure. Once an order is placed, a PIN code is sent directly to a technician or the client's phone in under a minute. Products are colour-coded, and the warehouse signage guides them straight to what they need.

From a single Sydney warehouse to a nationwide network, FIREX's growth has been steady and customer-driven. Every innovation, including 24/7 access, Swap & Go, and Click & Collect, was developed by listening to technicians and addressing the real challenges they face in the field.

Because when safety can't wait, access to products that keep us safe shouldn't either.
