Clock is ticking on Labor’s appalling silence

Guy Barnett,Liberal Member for Lyons

Yet another week has passed and Tasmanians are still being kept in the dark on Labor’s internal investigation regarding claims against its former Leader, David O’Byrne and its State President, Ben McGregor.

It is simply not good enough and Labor continue to remain silent on these important issues.

Is the President still threatening legal action against resurrected Labor leader Rebecca White?

What are the outcomes of the investigation into the claims against Mr McGregor?

Why is it taking so long for Labor to conduct an investigation into Mr O’Byrne?

Given Labor’s chaotic factional war has only grown worse in recent weeks, is Labor’s National Executive still planning to take over management of the Tasmanian Labor Party?

A cloud hangs heavy over the Labor Party and the Acting leader Anita Dow must step up and provide an update immediately.

Alternatively, it might be time for Anthony Albanese to now step in to clean up the Tasmanian Labor Party.
