Close To 3,500 Homes Declared State Significant

NSW Gov

A further 15 projects have been declared as State Significant Development (SSD) following recommendations from the Housing Delivery Authority (HDA).

Of the declared proposals, 14 are in metropolitan Sydney and one is in regional New South Wales.

If all are lodged and approved, this could create 3,450 homes including affordable housing across New South Wales.

Since the formation of the HDA 348 proposals amounting to more than 115,200 potential homes have been declared State significant.

To date 184 projects have had Secretary Environmental Assessment Requirements issued and 36 have lodged State significant development applications under the HDA pathway.

Recommendations from the HDA are published as required under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 before the SSD declaration.
