Closure of facilities and service changes to continue

Council facility closures and service changes have been extended following the continuation of the current State of Emergency declared by the Victorian Government.

The State of Emergency has been extended until midnight on 11 May due to the ongoing coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, Council's current facility closures and service changes will continue and are next due for review on 12 May.

Council is working to protect the health and wellbeing of the community, especially elderly and vulnerable people, from transmission of the virus.

Pools, gyms, leisure centres, libraries, skate parks, playgrounds, community halls and some public toilets are among the facilities which have been closed.

While Council's customer service centres are also closed to public access, it is important to note Council is a designated essential business and is continung to operate in line with state and federal government direction.
